Color Coordinates: Striped Summer Fun
Welcome everyone to another edition of my Color Coordinates series. I am so inspired by cardstock stripes lately especially from a few designers (Laura Bassen and Amy Yingling). I decided to try my hand at it for a Color Coordinates recipe.
This recipe reminds me of summer with blues, greens, and a hint of lavender. I think I might have had a beach towel with these colors!
I used Stick It sheet adhesive to stick down my 1/4″ strips of paper and created 2 panels. I used one panel for the background with the color stripes sitting at the lower right.
I die cut the second panel using the Stamp Market “For You die” with the stripes in the upper left corner. When all the pieces were assembled, I ended up with a nice balance of color and stripes that mirror each other.
To finish the card, I die cut “For” from Tonic Silver Silk cardstock and glued it in place on top. I think this combination would also be great for masculine cards. I hope I’ve inspired you to pull out some cardstocks, trim them up, and create some stripes!
