Color Coordinates Recipe and Village Dies with Kristina!

10.17.14 Recipe Color Coordinates

Hi everyone! It’s Shari here with a Color Coordinates Recipe for you! Are you making fall cards right now? I thought I’d play around with the Stitched Tree stamps along with the coordinating Trees and Trunks dies to make a real quick one.

I used the tone on tone method by stamping with matching inks and card stocks. I’ve also used the Stitched Slopes and Hills Dies along with the Bundle of Stitches dies to create my scene.

The Giving Thanks Card die can also be used a a greeting on your cards, I used the stitch die to cut off the bottom and have it coordinate with the rest of the stitching on the card.

I’ve shot a video on how I made the card, hope it gives you some inspiration for not only a color group but also for your fall card making. Enjoy!

I have a special treat for you on this fine Friday! Kristina Werner has created a video using the new Village dies. These are the CUTEST dies ever!

  1. Such a sweet little forest, Shari! Love it. I haven’t played with my little row of houses yet… but I will, for sure!

  2. DELICIOUS colors and DELIGHTFUL card Shari – LOVE the sketched trees and the stitched hill, LOVE IT ALL!!! I confess that I have not used any stitched dies {{{yet}}} so I appreciate all the handy hints you share in your tutorials for die cutting, stamping – THANK YOU :)
AWESOME Village dies Kristina – THANK YOU for sharing the cool & clever ways we can use them :)

  3. Shari, thanks for another really cute card with a video. I like that color combo and thought your trees were so clever and liked the detail of having each layer have the stitched edge.

I like Kristina’s video and how her little houses don’t cut through on the bottom. She created a cute little scene.

  4. I think that in the card making world we move from season to season super fast because of product releases… It’s funny because I’m making Christmas cards in October and made my fall cards in August! Lol

  5. I would also like to win. The village dies make me think of my hometown from when I was little. We would be coming down the mountain and just as we rounded a turn, there was our little village (town).
