Color Coordinates Inspiration!

Hello everyone! It’s Shari here with a new series. You asked for it, and I aim to deliver! I will be giving you Color Coordinates Inspiration samples that you can try.

CCI-8.15.14

Todays colors are nautical in a way but young masculine in another. Honestly, I haven’t tried them all together before. It was fun as a personal challenge.

I created a birthday card by using the Hourglass stamps and coordinating dies along with the inspiration inks.

I die cut the Happy Birthday greeting and reassembled it to reform the sentiment. I used a bit of foam tape to lift up the white panel for added dimension.

I’ve also shot a video of how my card came together.

Thanks for stopping by today, let me know your thoughts on this series. I think it will be fun! Have a great week-end!

  1. I really like the colors and your card, Shari is awesome being that special something….the curly twine really adds to it. I’m going to make this card.

  2. Love colour coordinates. It’s a great tool for creativity and when your a bit “stuck” on same old same old. Thanks for the inspiration.

  3. I love this card and your color choices! I never use orange…it’s just too “in your face” for me. But I love it with the navy and the smoke gray! It kind of tones it down a bit. It’s so beautiful!

  4. This new series is going to help me a lot and I’m glad to see it. Today’s card is delicious and contemporary and awesome as only Shari can do it.

  5. Thank you for taking the mystery out of combining colors. This is an awesome series. A very beautiful card

  6. Great color combination. Love the contrasting colors and the card is so fun. Especially love how the greeting was done. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Shari,
I love this new idea. This will be so much fun to get more ideas with all my colors going forward!!!! Can’t wait to see what combinations you come up with the possibilities are endless!!!

  8. Love the Series!! I always struggle with what colors really do work together … this takes out some of the guess work!! And thank you so much for the video – I’m a visual crafter and do so appreciate “how to” videos.
