Color Coordinates: In the Stars

Colorcoordinatestake2-600x74

Happy Sunday everyone! I have some inspiration for you today with a Color Coordinates. This combination was inspired by home exteriors that I’ve noticed lately. I see a lot of Navy and Grey used together with accents of greenery and cement. These colors are also great for masculine cards!

For my card, I’ve used an array of star dies cut from inked paper and set them over a Mosaic Star die cut panel.

For the layer beneath the Mosaic Star, I did some ink blending using Soft Navy Ink. To finish off the arrangement, I used Glacier White Ranger Enamel Accents and Tim Holtz Craft Thread.

I’ve shot a video of the process which you can view below or on our YouTube channel.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  1. This recipe is really soothing. Male or female, who wouldn’t love to receive this wonderful card. I write these all down Shari, to keep for further use. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Very nice card. I would have never used these colors, as
I really don’t like them ( except the blue) but you sure have made them work together, and the result is beautiful!

  3. I love the color coordinates And I want to know how I can order the mosaic star and the
    mosaic heart.

    1. Hi Ethelene,
I fixed the supply list to include the Mosaic Star. You can do a search on the Simon Says Stamp site for the Mosaic Heart. I hope that helps!

      Enjoy!

  4. Your colour coordinates has me itching to create. Unfortunately my basic kit is at the BFFs house as we tried having a craft day last week but we didn’t get anything done apart from a Drs visit for the daughter and me taking the BFF to ER for X-rays on her knee as she busted it into a door taking her daughter back to class after the dr visit!

  5. Love these colours and this is outstanding! Love that die cut opening over the ombré background and all the little stars finish it to perfection!

  6. I love the ink blending under the mosaic star. The small stars bring more color to the card and even though they are soft colors, they just bring a little more interest. Really beautiful card.
