Color Coordinates: Black!

Some may feel black is dark and gloomy, but I consider it to be an elegant Neutral!

Simon Says Stamp Black is dreamy! A very rich black perfect for using on invitations, cards and projects. Black is a neutral that can be paired with browns and rich reds for a vintage look. You can also use it with white, greys and other bright tones for a more graphic appeal.

I’ve found some fun product for the Color Coordinates Black to inspire you to use it as a base for other colors. I’ve put together a video of my walk through and explanation of my card.

To start my card off, I created a black top folding card and added a panel of grey pattern paper from the Glitz Black & White paper pad.

I started adding layers by using the Kelly Purkey Number stickers to create a little count down, then continued with strips of paper and My Mind’s Eye washi tape.

To add my greeting, I used the Tiny Tag Dies and stamped “UR Amazing” from the Tiny Tag word set. I finished things of with some enamel shapes and gems.

  1. This card is great! I love using black. Usually to mat a focal image. This gives me great ideas. Thanks for the video.
