Christmas Flamingo

Hi friends! Please join me in welcoming back the always fantastic Yana Smakula as a guest on our blog! The Christmas Critters she made on her last guest post was so popular she decided to make another! I think this design is so cute and I love the idea of a more traditional looking background using the Advent Plus Holiday Icons with red and green colors and then a pop of pink with the Summertime Animals flamingo! She finished off with an embossed sentiment from the Advent Sentiments stamp set! Be sure to watch the video and enjoy!

  1. I love the idea of something that is not typical made into something christmasy… well played with the Christmas Flamingo!

  2. Yana–your card is so fun!! I love your little Christmas flamingo! The video was very helpful in explaining each step. Thank you so much for sharing!

  3. My ex-daughter-in-law had a thing for
    flamingos. She would have loved
    this one and I would have enjoyed
    using it for her cards.
    Love the card.
    thanks for sharing.

  4. It really made me smile when I saw the pink flamingo with the red Christmas bow wrapped around it’s neck.

  5. Adorable! I love how you created the background. I need to give that a try! Thanks for the inspiration! Happy Holidays. :)

  6. This design is FANTASTIC!! You kept the colors of the background limited to red, white, and green. Yet you have a lot of variety of imagery: candy canes, mittens, stockings, and holly leaves & berries! Then you added a new pop of color in a very fun, unexpected way with the flamingo! :D What a great take on a holiday card!! Perfect for sending to those enjoying Christmas in a warm climate!

  7. Oh my Gooodness Yana! Your imagination is boundless! Thank you for, once again, creating such a lovely and fun card! It would be fun to send to someone in a warm climate! You have such an amazing gift!
