Celebratory Ink Blending and Masking

DSCN3246

Hi readers! Welcome to our SECOND inspiration on the blog today! Isn’t this card a party on paper? Please welcome Kelly Latevola back to our blog as a guest! I love the maybe somewhat unexpected “You Are My Favorite” sentiment below to really jazz up a just because card for a friend! You could also easily turn this into a beautiful Birthday card! I love the way Kelly utilizes the balloon from our Cuddly Critters Accessories stamp set. Be sure to watch the video for more tips and tricks!

  3. Gorgeous card! Amazing video! Thanks so much for the inspiration and fabulous tutorial. :-)

  4. Kelly is such a ROCK STAR and she is so amazingly talented – everything she touches turns to glittered beautiful rainbows!! This card is no exception – it is loveliness at its’ very finest!! Love the colors, the styling, and EVERYTHING about this makes me smile!!!

  5. Awesome card. Great tips for masking and getting that transparent look. I will be giving this a try for sure….just need my order to arrive.

  6. Wowzers….amazing blending and coloring! LOVE the transparency look of the balloons and all the gorgeous color. Awesome video and thanks for sharing with us!

  7. I really like the cluster of balloons at the top of the page with the bubbles and twirling twines. This was a good lesson for masking and showing transparency. I appreciate the tip on blending ink backgrounds for I have the same problem of blotching the ink. Thank you for the tutorial.

  8. How wonderful. Thank you so much for showing this and explaining everything in such detail. So many tricks I picked up on this video. Not to mention how beautiful the card is.
When you say post it notes….are they sticky backed all over…or just the normal everyday office type post it notes with one line of sticky at the top of the paper? Your’s seemed to stick down on the balloon everywhere, plus you stamped on the whole sticky note too.

  9. Love everything about this! The masking really makes a difference in adding dimension and highlights to the balloons. Awesome card and video!
