Hi readers! Happy Sunday! I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend! Thanks for stopping by our blog! Today we have some bright & cheery inspiration for you from the always awesome Kelly Rasmussen! I love the idea of die cutting washi tape. It’s kind of like making your own custom stickers! Neat-O!

Enjoy!

I love finding new uses for products that I already have, so today I’m combining my love of dies and washi tape to create a colorful card!

To die cut washi tape, you will need to select a die that is no bigger than the width of your tape. Then tear off a piece of washi tape and adhere it to a piece of scratch cardstock. Place your die on top and run it through your die cut machine. To remove the washi tape from the cardstock after die cutting it, use a craft knife to carefully loosen one edge and then peel it back slowly.

TIP: If you are finding it hard to remove the tape from the cardstock after die cutting, try removing some of the tackiness from the tape by sticking it to the backside of your hand. The oils from your skin will make the tape less sticky and easier to remove.

The die cut feathers reminded me of flower petals so I decided to create a rainbow flower. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts Anything Can Happen clear set and is stamped with Charcoal Mid-Tone Shadow Ink.

TIP: After you have placed your washi tape feathers on your cardstock panel run it though your die cut machine to firmly press down the washi tape.

And to finish off the card I added a scattering of some Hero Arts Mixed Accents!
