Art Journaling Video: Do What You Love!

Hi everyone, it’s Vicky here! I am happy to guest design here today and I am sharing my latest art journal layout!
For this layout I was inspired by the typewriter die that was waiting for me to use it for a while! For my background I used distress paint and I added texture with tissue paper, embossing paste and some of my favorite stencils.
Lots of techniques were used such as stamping, shading, die cutting and more.
Glass glitter and glossy accents were used for the finishing touches. You can watch the how-to video for a step by step tutorial on creating this layout.

I just love to watch your process Vicky. One of my New Year resolutions is to start an Art Journal. I just finished my first page and am pretty happy with the finish project. Thanks for all your inspiration.

OMG Vicky WOW What an awesome Art Journal LO. I just always have loved the old Underwood Typewriter and since it was the first typewriter I learned on your LO especially touches my heart. I truly love all of your clever and creative ideas you came up with to not only create your typewriter but the typed pages and everything else on your LO that most certainly showcases it. I LOOOVE what you’ve done Vicky! I don’t do Art Journaling, but this makes me want to TRY! AND I have to say, your use of the Distress Paints has made me want some of those too! ;) SUPER JOB on a FABULOUS LAYOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) (LOOOOVE your idea to use Multi-Medium Matte with the Glass Glitter too! Just in time for Valentines! ;))

I have followed Vicky for a while, and love all of her work, and especially her art journal pages. She makes it so easy to follow and gives lots of good tips and explanations for her choices and process. I enjoyed this video very much.
