Art Journal Cover

Hi everyone! It’s Shari here for my final Art Journal of the year. Instead of doing another entry, I’ve put my pages together and have made a quick cover.

I couldn’t resist the Teresa Collins Nine & Co collection for my cover.  I love the colors and the ease of creating something pretty.

I have shot a video of how to put your pages together and how to construct the cover. You can see the video HERE. Hope you enjoy!

Have a fantastic Saturday!!

  1. I’ve been looking in all the wrong places! I’ve heard that Helmar’s 450 was great. Now I know where to find it. Thank you!

  2. Love your art journal cover Shari. Love those soft colors. Still need to try my hand at this. Looks so creative and relaxing at the same time.

  3. Great job, Shari! Darling journal cover and pages using the Teresa Collins collection ~ love the sentiment card. Thanks for the recommendation of Helmar’s. One can never have enough adhesives. : )

  4. The cover is simple but very pretty. Love when things aren’t blinged out so much that you can’t see how they could be used.

  5. Shari, I wish you and your staff a very Merry Christmas. Thank you so much for sharing your talent for mixed art and other talents with us this year.

  6. Started my first Art Journal this year. Repurposing an old hardback novel… love the quote on your cover… may I use it…?

  7. I can only dream how wonderful it must be to have a treasure trove of supplies and products at hand (working and creating things at SimonSayStamps)…maybe then, just maybe then I’d be able to create such beautiful things.

(Since I live on Soc. Sec. my budget is extremely tight. Eight years ago I was the pedestrian involved in a vehicle hit-in-run while jogging; immediately afterwards I then got ran over by a Ford pickup truck following behind that initial vehicle that caused me to sustain a spinal-cord injury that left me a paraplegic. I’m thankful that pickup driver stopped and called 911. I’ve never had animosity towards that driver since he wasn’t the one that started the chain of unfortunate events; whereas it did take me a few years later to forgive that unknown driver (in my heart) that started it all. However, ultimaley I’m thankful our Lord, Jesus Christ said it wasn’t my time to cross over; espeically since he made me an uncle two years later to a beautiful niece that loves me as dearly as I love her.)

During this holiday season (1) take time to ponder all the wonderful memories made throughout this past year with those you love, (2) let go of all the bad ones by forgiving all those that have hurt/wronged you (for Jesus forgives us of our own when we faulter) and (3) express your love to those you love often for our time on earth isn’t guaranteed.

“Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone. Good luck in the contest.”

  8. I love the way you’ve put the whole year’s work together. That cover is stunning! What a wonderful way to remember 2014!

  9. What a lovely journal cover, perfect for your beautiful pages Shari!!!
    LOVE the sweet sentiment!!!
REALLY COOL to see you using my GO-TO glue – I confess that I’m a 450 ADDICT :)
THANK YOU for sharing your tutorial on how to transform pages into a precious journal – I appreciate your very practical tips too, especially allowing folds to dry in the folded position.

  10. Thank you for sharing all your journal ideas with us throughout this past year. I learn something new every time I watch your videos. I also love the simplicity of this cover and the saying as well. We always have tomorrow!
