With mild temperatures, it is not unusual to see hot air balloons flying overhead where I live. They are just fascinating to me and since we’ve moved here, we always attend the annual tradition called Huff ‘n Puff that is held. Now this hot air balloon rally is certainly not like Albuquerque (one day I’ll get to attend) but it is fun nonetheless.

I’ve used the new Sky High-Hot Air Balloons dies and sentiments. I can’t seem to put my Ranger/Tim Holtz Distress Inks away. I’ve blended Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, and Shabby Shutters Distress Inks on separate pieces of cardstock to begin building my scene. The inked Shabby Shutters cardstock was diecut with the Build a Scene-Rolling Hills dies. A few strips of Build a Scene-Clouds were cut and layered at the top of my Distress Inked panel.

My sentiment was stamped using the Misti tool onto the Shabby Shutters inked area. I diecut a hot air balloon out of the rainbow pattern paper from Doodlebug Design collection called Sunkissed, and embellished with the little “extras” from the die set. A few clear gems and a tiny diecut sun, from Little Bits Sun & Clouds, were added as last details.
