Today I have a marvelous video from the EVER clever and imaginative Wendy Vecchi! Her blog, Studio 490, has a lovely voice with tons of inviting projects for everyone to try! The technique video I’m about to share with you is just a sample of how awesome the ideas are that come from the Studio 490 blog– definitely check it out!

AH! I just love this! Wendy’s initial drive for this was to experiment with Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks on Kraft Glassine Envelopes for a verdigris/rusty look. Man, oh man did that experimentation lead to a great place!
She took two lighter color Alcohol Inks (Cloudy Blue and Juniper) and the Snow Cap Alcohol Ink Mixative, mixed them on the Ink Blending Tool, and dabbed them all over the Kraft Glassine Envelope. After some crumpling and crinkling, a little heat, and some additional color touch ups- this is the result!

Isn’t that a great gift card holder idea? Such a different project! Thanks for sharing your project, and voice Wendy!

To win today’s blog candy of an Amuse wood stamp with Santa’s hat on it, just join our blog following.. comment your thoughts on the Wendy video, and you could win!!!

Thanks for reading today, hope you enjoyed the video, and Happy Birthday to the 7 Billionth member of Earth!
