A Radiant Robin’s Nest Idea!!

Robin’s Nest Dew Drops have been around for a while.  Perhaps you bought some a while ago and used them for bubbles or eyes or sprinkles on a cupcake, but what to do with the rest of them?  Here is a really cool project that Becky Conley came up with for Robin’s Nestphotos, directions and all!!  Super easy to follow!!

ROBIN’S NEST SUPPLIES: Dew Drops from many collections, some are Tear Drops and Diamonds.

Center of Flower:

Light Yellow from Sunflower Collection, Light Yellow from Summer Collection, Cream Dew Drops, Beige Dew Drops
Flower Petals:
Purple from Hydrangea Collection, Purple Dew Drops like from Lilac, light blue like from Ocean, lt Blue from Mint Chocolate Collection, lt green/blue like Melon & Sky, Light Blue like from Skies, Light Blue from Winter Retreat Collection, Blues from minis: Riverside and Hillside
Leaves:
Green Dew Drops like Hardy Ivy, Green from the Summer Collection
Background:
Yellow from Sunflower Collection, Yellow from Summer Collection, Beige Dew Drops, Yellow from Winter Retreat Collection, Light Orange from Fall

Directions: Spray paint a wood serving tray with white spray paint and separate dew drops.

Apply The Best Glue Ever! to the tray. Spread with a paint brush for design area only (not the background yet) so you can see your design for placement of the Dew Drops. Let dry until it’s completely clear, the glue will remain tacky for precise placement of Dew Drops.

When the tray is totally covered with Dew Drops and your design is finished, squeeze 3d Crystal Lacquer or Glossy Accents all over, concentrating on filling in between the Dew Drops. Let dry. Be careful not to go beyond where your Dew Drops are placed.

5. Apply Epoxy or Mod Podge over the top of your finished design at least 1/4 above the top of the Dew Drops to ensure that your tray surface is level.

You can do this mosaic technique on so many different projects!!  Here are only a few ideas of canvasses: Printer’s Trays, Configurations, Scrapbook Covers, tags, an actual Canvas, Shadow Boxes, Brag Books, Altered Boxes and more!
