A Persimmon Page By Marcy Penner

I love fall. It’s by far my favourite season. Lots of layers and hot chocolate… how can that be bad? I knew I wanted to use the BasicGrey Feathers and leaves for this page. I started by layering my photo behind two pieces of Persimmon patterned paper (I added a scrap of a book page in there too for good measure). From there I picked alternating corners and worked in. On the top I started on the left and worked in… a cluster of leaves and feathers, one of my boys’ initials and my journaling. On the bottom I started on the right… a cluster of leaves and feathers, my other boy’s initials and then my title.
I love mixed handwritten and typed journaling, so I did a little of both on this page and added some paper strips along the top and bottom to finish it off.
