A "Fancy" Calendar!

Hello! It’s blustery, snow-dusted, and cold here in Ohio! I hope your weather has a little bit more warmth than we do!

Let’s start out with some blog winners shall we?! We’ve got ourselves a lot of winners to cover!
From Monday’s blog on Hero Arts Products with Britta Swiderski, the winner is Annette!
The winner from Sunday’s blog on Make Your Own Etched Glass is Laura!
With Saturday’s blog on How To Get Out Of A Crafting Slump With Marah Johnson, our winner is Mags!
And finally.. the winner from Wednesday’s blog Simon Says Stamp Challenge – A Chance to Win $50 is Michele!
Congrats winners! Please email Fran@SimonSaysStamp with the title of the blog you won from, and your shipping information!

Now I am super excited to share with you this fun idea from the ever-inspiring Fancy Pants Design’s blog by design Kim Watson! Both the Fancy Pants Designs Blog and Kim Watson’s blog are chock full of creative projects and new twists on techniques so I encourage you to check them out!
How adorable is this block calendar?! Kim has used the Fancy Pants Off To School patterned paper on this example- but you could also use the Oct 31 paper for a Halloween count down, the Winterland paper for an advent calendar, or the Love Story paper for a Valentine’s Day or special date calendar!
To get the template of the boxes, just click here for the link Kim has provided to make your own!
Grab your papers and measure the different patterned sheets into sizes proportionate to the sizes of the boxes and stand. (Tip, measure the boxes and stand once you’ve scored the lines and folded up your shapes to get accurate coverage.)
After your blank canvas gets some color and life, embellish away! Kim has used embellishments from the Fancy Pants line, such as banners and chipboard!
I love the sewing details on here! Sewing lines (or faux sewing lines with white ink!) seem to be all the rage these days!

Hopefully this project sparked from creative juices flowing for you and you can transform this idea into something special for you or a loved one!

Thanks for reading! If you’d like to win some blog candy from today’s post just join our following and comment about this post! You could win a Faber-Castell gift set!
Enjoy the rest of your week!
-Michelle

  1. This is a very beautiful and creative calendar. But with such a calendar, it will be difficult to write down important events so as not to forget them. Therefore, I personally use calendars from this site . I advise you to take a look at them too.
