Color Coordinates With Shari Carroll

Are you ready for a fresh Spring Color Coordinates? I’ve come up with a new combination of soft pastel colors just for you!

This Color Coordinates Recipe goes perfectly with the Wide Stripes cling stamp to create some fun backgrounds. I’ve created two backgrounds; one plaid and one simple stripes. By turning the paper in the Misti and stamping again, it’s easy to create a quick plaid.

Rather than just inking the stamp, I’ve used swiping motions to get a unique texture on both the background and the Artful Flowers. To finish off both of my cards, I’ve used the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Strips 2.

If you are interested in printing out the Color Coordinates and creating a swatch book, I have the downloadable templates available below.

Funny Friday with Art Impressions: Holographic Rainbow Shaker!

Hello friends, it’s Nina-Marie here with you today and welcome to another Funny Friday, featuring Art Impressions products! I’m using the adorable Hedgehogs stamp set, along with some colorful and shiny embellishments for a truly festive birthday card!

The Big Happy Birthday die from Mama Elephant worked perfectly as a shaker; behind the shaker is a piece of the new Holo Waves Mirror cardstock from Tonic Studios. The shaker is filled with confetti from the Let’s Polka mix from Lucy’s Cards.

The Hedgehog is colored with Copic markers, then fussy cut so it could be popped up off the shaker. Isn’t he adorable?? It makes me laugh to see him “pop” his balloon because of this spines! I also adore that Art Impressions included the sound effect as part of the stamped image! Pfft!!!! ?

Finally, I embellished the card with a greeting from the Hedgehogs stamp set, embossed in white on Doll Pink cardstock. There are also additional confetti pieces sprinkled around the background for a bit more sparkle!
I hope today’s card has inspired you AND brought a fun smile to your day with this darling birthday card featuring Art Impressions!
