When you open the Flippin’ Awesome card, inside you find a hidden surprise… a gift card! This would be perfect for the holidays as a gift. However, you can leave the gift card out of the design and simply decorate the last panel of the Flippin’ Awesome card to coordinate with the rest of the panels.

Hi all! Kristina Werner here. Today I have a fun card for you made using the December 2019 card kit, which has both a new stencil and stamp set! The Gnome For the Holidays stamp set has adorable gnomes, and the Christmas Gnome Home stencil is perfect for creating a background scene for the gnomes.

I started by using the stencil to pencil a design on watercolor paper. Then I used Paper Fashion watercolors to paint the background.

The gnomes from the stamp set were stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink, painted using the same watercolors, and then “fussy cut” using scissors.

To finish off the card, I created a greeting area by watercoloring a red color over watercolor paper (creating my own DIY colored paper), and embossed the greeting using white embossing powder.

Also included in the kit are mini action wobbles! I put a wobble behind each of the gnomes and adhered them to the card. So cute!
