Studio Monday with Nina-Marie: Interactive Mailbox Gift Card Holders!

Hello friends, it’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you today! I really enjoy creating interactive cards – the element of surprise makes this type of card so unique and fun.
Today’s card project features not only an interactive design, but a gift card holder as well! I’m using the new Honey Bee Post Box Card Base dies to create a pocket that can open, revealing a surprise gift card inside!

There is a coordinating stamp set to go along with the Post Box die, which is the Love Enclosed set. This set is filled with cute sentiments, envelopes, and even decor elements for the mailbox! I used many of the stamps to decorate mine.

Inside the mailbox is the gift card holder – to make it super easy to get out of the post box, I added a little heart to the top. This also gives this mailbox an even cuter appearance! I die cut some pattern paper and one of our Nested Rectangles, then used the Lawn Fawn Gift Card Slots to cut the gift card holder. A little heart at the top gives a fun pull handle for the gift card to pop out of the mailbox!

I hope you love today’s sweet mailbox card and are inspired to create one for yourself!

Art Journaling with Shari Carroll: Stencil and Ink
Welcome everyone!! It’s Shari here with another Art Journaling inspiration.
I’m continuing with my circle journal using inking techniques. This page features Tim Holtz Oxide inks with a stencil, but not in the typical fashion, instead, I’ve inked the stencil and pressed it onto the paper to create interesting layers of color for my background.

The colors I’ve chosen resemble Spring just because this time of year, I’m really ready for some sweet color in my life. I used only the Bursting Heart stencil which is 9″x12″ and has plenty of hearts to work with.

This journal will eventually be set up as a reminder for myself of the techniques I love, have tried, and maybe failed. I intend to have it displayed in my craft area when I need inspiration. I’ll add notes to the back of each page of what I used and how I can improve the look. I hope I’ve given you the inspiration to start your own “Technique Journal” with your favorites as well.

Hi friend, it’s Nina-Marie here with you today! I am super excited to be bringing you a watercolor stamping technique using the new Be the Rainbow stamp set from Gina K. Designs.

This technique is one of my favorites to teach, because no matter your comfort-level with watercoloring, you can do this technique! You do not need any experience with watercolor to create this effect because we’re letting the stamps do all the work for us.
All you need are a water-based coloring medium (I’m using Zig Real Brush Markers), watercolor paper and a stamp set.

Want to see how to create this effect for yourself??? Press play on the video below!
