Art Journaling with Shari Carroll: Enjoy the Journey
Welcome to the blog!! It’s Shari here with another Art Journaling inspiration using resist techniques with embossing.
I’m in the mood for Spring so I’ve kept my colors soft by using a wash of watercolors and Simon Says Stamp Smoke ink for my stenciling and stamping.

I cut the circle from Canson Watercolor Paper using the largest die from the Simon Says Stamp Nested Circles dies. I white embossed the beautiful Paper Artsy quote, then lightly watercolored the circle. Once it was dry, I stenciled on top to create the additional resist.

I die cut the Outline Clustered Leaves, stamped and watercolored the flower, and then added a chip quote to finish it up.
I hope I’ve given you the inspiration to create a circle journal page using resist techniques with watercolor and stencils. Enjoy!

I thought I would share a card that represents why I love designing with MFT products. There are fun stamps and interactive dies that coordinate to make such wonderful cards for any recipient!

I colored the images and the carousel tent with Copic markers and die cut the carousel base and tent base using gold cardstock. The Interactive Up & Down Die-namics is easy to put together and sets these carousel horses in motion.
