Ink Blended Outline Stamps

Hello, all! Kristina Werner here. :)
I love coloring stamps, but sometimes I want to use outline stamps in a different way. Today I took the Spring Flowers 4 stamp set and did a bit (okay, a lot!) of ink blending! This is a great way to stretch outline stamps!
Since I wanted to use nearly all the images in the Spring Flowers 4 stamp set, I decided to leave the stamps on the clear sheet they come on and stamp all of them at the same time. To do this, I temporarily adhered the sheet of stamps to the door of my MISTI using tape. I inked up all the stamps with black ink, and stamped them all in one go! Super fast!

I then cut out each of the images. I did it the long way, fussy cutting each flower and stem of leaves. However, there is a coordinating die set for Spring 4 if you want to go that route. It would definitely speed up the process! :)
Then came the color fun! I blended ink onto each of the images I cut out using blender brushes. I used five colors from Gina K Designs: Wild Lilac, Passionate Pink, Wild Dandelion, Key Lime, and Jelly Bean Green.

I assembled the images on a 5×7 white card base and adhered them using foam tape. Then I trimmed out a greeting from the Reverse Mom Days Sentiment Strips and adhered it to the cluster of flowers. I finished off the card by adding a dashed line around the outer edge with a black pen.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you’ll try ink blending outline stamps!
