Offset Stencil Ink Blending with Kristina Werner

Hello, all! Kristina Werner here. I’m back with some ink blending with one of the new stencils that just came out last week. I thought I’d do some offset stencil ink blending!

I used four colors of Simon Says Stamp ink for my blending: Hot Mama, Doll Pink, Island Blue, and Sunshine. By sliding the Geo Leaves stencil just a bit for my second layer of blending, I get an overlapped look. So fun!
For the greeting, I used the new Thinking of You Line die set as well. This die set is meant to be used with two different colors of cardstock, so in this case I used black and white.
Thanks for stopping by! Happy crafting!

PinkFresh Studio: Striped Background
Hi friends! Happy Wednesday and thanks for stopping by our blog today! We have two gorgeous samples from today’s special guest– Angelica Conrad! Please read on and enjoy!

Hi friends! This is Angelica Conrad, and I am so excited to be representing Pinkfresh Studio on the Simon Says Stamp blog today! I have two cards to share, featuring the Color Block Diagonal Stripes Die. I love black and white stripe pattern papers, so I thought I would just make my own.

I die-cut a panel of black cardstock, and made two backgrounds with it. I used every other stripe for each card. I incorporated more stripes for each card, using watercolors, and dry embossing. Let’s start with the Hugs And Good Vibes card.

I made a watercolor stripe background using Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors. I used a wide flat paintbrush to make the stripes, drying the paper before moving onto the next color. Once I was done, I white heat-embossed the sentiment, and trimmed the panel with Essentials: Ornate Banner die. I also die-cut an Ornate Banner frame for the panel, and made a pretty pink Artistic Bow.

I made the second bow in the Artistic Bows Die set for my next card.

For a second element of stripes for this card, I dry-embossed white card stock, using the Color Block Diagonal Stripes die. I followed the directions on my die-cut machine to do this. I die-cut the embossed card stock with the Ornate Banner die, and made another white frame. I added a stamped Modern Layered Floral Bouquet, and a die-cut word from Phrase Builder– Hello.
I hope I have helped with ideas on making striped backgrounds. That’s all that I have for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
