PinkFresh Studio: Striped Background
Hi friends! Happy Wednesday and thanks for stopping by our blog today! We have two gorgeous samples from today’s special guest– Angelica Conrad! Please read on and enjoy!

Hi friends! This is Angelica Conrad, and I am so excited to be representing Pinkfresh Studio on the Simon Says Stamp blog today! I have two cards to share, featuring the Color Block Diagonal Stripes Die. I love black and white stripe pattern papers, so I thought I would just make my own.

I die-cut a panel of black cardstock, and made two backgrounds with it. I used every other stripe for each card. I incorporated more stripes for each card, using watercolors, and dry embossing. Let’s start with the Hugs And Good Vibes card.

I made a watercolor stripe background using Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors. I used a wide flat paintbrush to make the stripes, drying the paper before moving onto the next color. Once I was done, I white heat-embossed the sentiment, and trimmed the panel with Essentials: Ornate Banner die. I also die-cut an Ornate Banner frame for the panel, and made a pretty pink Artistic Bow.

I made the second bow in the Artistic Bows Die set for my next card.

For a second element of stripes for this card, I dry-embossed white card stock, using the Color Block Diagonal Stripes die. I followed the directions on my die-cut machine to do this. I die-cut the embossed card stock with the Ornate Banner die, and made another white frame. I added a stamped Modern Layered Floral Bouquet, and a die-cut word from Phrase Builder– Hello.
I hope I have helped with ideas on making striped backgrounds. That’s all that I have for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Art Journal: With Wings
Welcome everyone!! I can’t believe we’re in June already. Here we go into Summer!!
Today I have a page I’ve created for my circle journal and of course, I couldn’t resist another project using the hugely popular Tim Holtz Speckled Egg!

This is a simple page where I’ve created my background full of color and added some ephemera. I love to put things together from my stash and find it so rewarding when it all works. Finding your comfort colors makes designing easy, these are certainly mine.

I’ve colored in the daisies using a Distress Embossing Pen and embossing glazes. Be sure to check out my video below for all the details.

I hope I’ve given you the inspiration to pull out elements to put together for your personal pages. Thanks for stopping by and Enjoy!!

June 2020 Brand of the Month: Honey Bee Stamps

It’s the first day of June and that means the reveal of our next Brand of the Month: Honey Bee Stamps!

This month, we’re celebrating Honey Bee Stamps with a special giveaway! With any Honey Bee Stamps purchase, you can get this rainbow pack of Gem Stickers FREE with code BLING! Use code at checkout. :)
I also have some inspiration to share with you today using Honey Bee Stamps’ In Full Bloom stamp and die set.

This stunning frame was so much fun to color with Copics; by heat embossing the floral frame in Antique Gold embossing powder, it gave my coloring a very elegant feel.

Don’t forget that you can always change the sentiment to if any theme! I used a thank you greeting, but the In Full Bloom set has many other sentiments to choose from.

Be sure to watch the video below to see how I created this lovely card!
