Carry All Caddy featuring Tim Holtz Palette Fabric

Hello friends! Today’s project is made with the beautiful Palette Teal designed by Tim Holtz. When I opened the box with the Teal fabric and when I saw the Butterflies fabric I gasped. It’s gorgeous and I knew I needed to make something that showcased the fabric. Meet the “Carry All Caddy 2.0” patterns by Annie, this Caddy will be perfect for keeping your tools together and taking to crops. It features lots of pockets to stay organized and holds a ton. The project is an intermediate sewing project and Annie has videos for the more complicated section but its totally doable if you have some sewing experience. I learned a few things from Annie’s videos that will bag making easier. Love learning new tips and tricks!
The Caddy uses 3 fabrics, Palette Teal Butterflies, Teal Marble for the inside and Teal Tiled for the accent and binding.
Cut all your fabric pieces out according to the instruction.
Layer pieces with Soft and Stable and quilt as desired.
Cut quilted fabric pieces and stitch around the outside 1/8” from edge.
Sew the handle units with the rectangle rings.
Now let’s work on the inside pockets. They have pleats that will be sewn from both sides of the fabric. There’s a great video on how to do this.
Attach zipper for the side pocket. Add binding to the top of the zipper pocket.
Prepare the center/side strip. Bind the top edge and sew the zipper pocket to one end and the side pocket to the other end.
Sew the handles and pockets to the front and back panels. You’re almost there.
Pin or clip the sides to the front and back pieces. Sew the pieces together, take your time. Sewing slowly will help you get around those corners.
Sew binding all the way around the Caddy.
