March 2021 Card Kit Inspiration with Kristina Werner

Hello, all! Kristina here with some card inspiration featuring the March 2021 Card Kit!
For my card, I decided to watercolor one of the windows in the Spring Windows stamp set. I stamped the window in Versafine Clair Acorn ink, and then painted it with various Karin Brushmarker Pro markers. Be sure to watch the video below for tips on watercoloring with these markers!
For the background of the card, I used a sheet of patterned paper from Carta Bella’s Flower Garden 6×6 paper pad, which is included in the kit. I cut off the left edge of my colored window to accommodate a greeting to the right.

The greeting strip was created by scribbling on watercolor paper with the orange-red shade of Karin marker that I used on the flowers in the window box. Then I stamped a greeting from the stamp set and white heat embossed it.

Crafty with Caly: Magnolia Cottage
Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! Please join me in welcoming back special guest Caly Person in her bi-monthly Crafty with Caly blog series! Be sure to watch the video for more info and enjoy!

My card today is totally inspired by the fabulous Shari Carroll! She made a beautiful mini slimline card using the Magnolia Cottage set and I felt inspired to create one too with my spin on things.

To start, I stamped and colored my images with Copic markers.
Pinks: R00, R81, R83, R85
Greens: G00, G03, G05, G09
Yellows: Y00, YR23
Grays: C0, C1, C2, C3, C5

If you like seeing the process, be sure to check out the video!

By background is simply grounded with some gray Copic markers and ink-blended with some Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink for a subtle glow.

I rarely ever stamp the inside of a card but this one felt appropriate because of the sentiments on this set. I hope you enjoyed this card! Thanks so much for visiting today!~Caly

Studio Monday with Nina-Marie: Make a Card with a Matching Envelope

Hello friends, it’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you! I have an interactive card to share today using our exclusive Reveal Window dies, and the My Favorite Things Hug it Out stamp set.

Have you tried our Reveal Window dies? They are such a fun and unique way to add a surprise for the recipient. Inside my Reveal Window is a sweet image from the Hug it Out stamp set. I also ink blended a cute background with the Layering Hearts stencil set from Simon.

To further enhance my Reveal Window, I filled it with die cuts from our Simon Says Stamp Chunky Hearts Panel. These will fall out of the Reveal Window when someone opens it! It’s not necessary, but a fun feature that makes the reveal even more special!

Not only did I create this adorable card, but I also decorated my envelope with the Hand Stamped stamp set from My Favorite Things. Customizing the envelope with a bit of stamping really makes your card feel extra-special to the recipient. I not only stamped the flap with a “happy mail” heart, but on the front of the envelope I also added a second set of stamping!

Did you know that this Hand Stamped set that I used on the envelope is available as a FREE gift with purchase from Simon? Simply purchase any My Favorite Things brand of products and this will automatically get added to your order (while supplies last)!
