Color Blocked Book Cards You’ll Love: Yippee for Yana

Hello, crafters, this is Yana Smakula for Simon Says Stamp! Welcome back for another Yippee For Yana video! Today, we’re color blocking and mass producing cards that are perfect for any book lover. Let’s dive in!
I’m using the One for the Books stamp set and coordinating dies, along with Neenah Solar White cardstock and Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated inks and Cardstock.
Step 1: Stamp the Books
Start by stamping the book covers with Honey Ink. I’m using the MISTI for easy, crisp impressions. For the book spine, I used Mocha Ink, followed by Latte Ink for the pages and Cappuccino Ink for the top page details. Don’t forget to stamp multiples for quick mass production!
Step 2: Frame with Flowers
For an elegant touch, I used the Timeless Blooms stamp set to add a cute rose cluster in Carnation Ink and leaves in Perfection Ink, framing the book and adding a lovely detail.
Step 3: Choose Your Sentiments
I used the three sentiments in the One for the Books set: “Thank You,” “I Love You,” and “Happy Birthday.” I’m sending the “Happy Birthday” one to a friend who runs a book blog – perfect for her!
Step 4: Add Dimension
I die-cut the images and added extra layers for sturdiness. For the bookmark detail, if you’re using the coordinating die, stamp it after cutting the book image out. Simple but effective!
Step 5: Color Block the Background
Create bold, colorful backgrounds by cutting Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy and Honey cardstock into blocks. It’s quick and adds so much fun to your cards! First, cut 4 ¼ x 5 ½” panels. Next, slice them in half at the 2 ¾” mark. This will give you 2 identical-sized panels to make the front ofan A2 card.
Step 6: Final Assembly
Pop everything up with foam adhesive for extra dimension, and you’re done! These book-themed cards are perfect for sending a special note to your book-loving friends.

Stencil Your Way to an Art Journaling Card!
Welcome, everyone!!! It’s Shari! I’m back with another take on using envelopes to create a mini Journal or an amazing card for someone special. I’ve combined some of my favorite ink colors with bold and cheery stencils to complete this project.
There are a few folds, flaps and hiding places to hold gifts, or journaling.
The cover is fully stenciled front and back with this large Happy Rainbow stamp. Art Journals can be any size, style, or thickness you want them to be. There are no rules.
