Thanksgiving Artist Trading Cards

Hi friends! Happy Saturday! Please join me in welcoming back special guest Cheiron Brandon! She made some seriously GORGEOUS ATCs (artist trading cards) perfect for sharing as you gather with friends and family over the autumn season! Read on and if you missed our special gift promotion today, don’t forget to scroll to the bottom! ;) Enjoy!

Hi there crafty friends, it’s Cheiron Brandon here and I am thrilled to be sharing a project with you today. As I was putting my Halloween Ephemera away and getting ready for Christmas crafts, I found some Idea-ology items that are perfect for a few Thanksgiving projects. I created a set of Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) using these ephemera and the Sizzix Leaf Fragment dies which are perfect for these ATCs.

I cut four ATC panels (2 ½ x 3 ½) from Kraft Mixed Media Heavystock and stamped the Linen stamp onto them and inked the edges of the panels using Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. I took a printed paper from the Halloween Backdrops back and cut it into 2 ¼ x 3 ¼ panels and inked the edges of the paper using Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. I took my bottle of Walnut Stain Distress Oxide and spattered some onto the panels by opening the bottle and using the nozzle. I colored the leaves with my favorite fall Distress Inks and then sprayed them with Antique Bronze Distress Mica Spray and dried them with a heat tool.

Once the leaves were dry, I assembled the ATCs layer by layer using Distress Collage Medium. I adhered the printed paper to the card, then a Salvaged tag, then a Halloween Snippets Ephemera, then one of the leaves and finally a big chat sticker.

If you haven’t made ATCs before, I hope you will try it. What can you do with these besides trade them? I like to add them to the front of a card, tie them to a bottle of wine when I bring one to somebody’s house, or even put them on the Thanksgiving table with a handwritten note of thanks on the back for the person who is sitting there!
