Studio Monday with Nina-Marie: Foil, Stencils, and Glitter Paste!

Hello friends, it’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you today. If there is something shimmery, shiny, or glittery nearby, I’m going to gravitate to it! Today I’m combining the love of all things sparkly and we’re going to hot foil, ink blend, and stencil with glitter paste to make the ultimate card of bling!

In this project, I paired the Pinkfresh Studio Small Butterflies and Brighter Days hot foil plate and stencil sets together. I hot foiled the plates with gold foil. Then I used Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks to blend through the coordinating stencils, which effectively “colors” the foiled images. On some of the stenciled layers, I added some Brutus Monroe clear glitter gel for a sparkly finish. I LOVE how this accents the foiling!

Behind the butterflies is a panel that I stenciled clear glitter paste through; the stencil is XL Rose Bouquet. My greeting is a sentiment strip from the Best Friends set.

The combination of the glitter paste and hot foiling created a truly magical effect! Be sure to watch the video below to see it in action!
