Pastel Tone on Tone Floral Card with Heather Hoffman
Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! Please join me in welcoming back special guest Heather Hoffman to our blog! Read on to learn more about this gorgeous “just because” card idea!

Hello crafty friends! Today I thought it would be fun to share a card using a pretty floral set from the Friend Like You Release – and combine them with my Rainbow Splash inks! Just like their name suggests, the Rainbow Splash inks come in a perfect rainbow of colors, and do a great job of simply covering the basics. These 3 pastel tones (plus one more for the leaves!) worked together so well on my card!

I started off by stamping the large solid flower from Happy Day one time each in Ballet, Canary, and Lake inks, then die cut them with the coordinating die. I stamped a couple of the greenery options a couple times each in Lime, and cut those out with the coordinating die as well.

Next, I grabbed a panel of white cardstock sized 4” by 5 ¼”, and swiped the 3 inks I used on the flowers directly on that panel, starting at the outside and moving in towards the center. It gives the look of brushed paint that I loved! I then arranged the flowers over the top of those, using a tone on tone effect. I trimmed off the portions that went off the edge, then adhered them with foam adhesive. I tucked the greenery pieces underneath, adhering with liquid glue.

I stamped that lovely sentiment with Nocturne ink, die cut with the coordinating die, and adhered with more foam adhesive. Finally, I added some coordinating Dazzling Gems to the center of each flower, using Bubblegum, Butter, and Surf.

I think this design would be lovely in so many different color combos! Bright bold colors, deep jewel tones, or an ombre color scheme would all be fun! What would you choose?

DIY: No-Sew Felt Flowers in Minutes

Welcome, everyone!! It’s Shari here with some fun DIY no-sew felt flowers which are perfect to give as a gift or even decor for a birthday!! The best part is that I used Simon Says Stamp Arch dies for the petals and Circle Dies for the flower centers. These nested dies allow you to make a variety of sizes!

Once I die-cut my felt, I did a little altering to finish off the shapes and then used a glue gun for quick assembly! Once I had them put together, I added some highlights with Nuvo drops.

To see how these came together, check out my video below. Enjoy!
