Crafty with Caly: Sweet Birds

Hi friends! Welcome to the latest edition of Crafty with Caly where special guest Caly Person is sharing the CUTEST collection of birdie cards showcasing our brand NEW Sweet Birds set! Be sure to watch the video for all of the details, and enjoy!

Hello, Friends! I have a colorful set of cards to share today using several new products from the latest Simons Says Stamp Hello Gorgeous Release!
I created four cards because I couldn’t help but stamp all the birds from the Sweet Birds set. I used Pawsitively Saturated Inks to stamp these colorful birds. To get more shades of color, I double stamped some areas, and did second-generation stamping in others to get lighter shades.

Here is a list of all the colors I used:
- Guava, Watermelon, Cherry
- Marine, Cadette, Royal
- Aspen, Sage, Pine
- Celery, Limelicious, Ocean, Melon, Cantaloupe, Latte
I share my process in today’s video and I hope you enjoy watching!

For the background, I used the Delicate Floral Mandala and stamped over Ivory cardstock for a soft background. I also added white foliage to my cards using die-cuts from the Tattered Leaves and Olive Leaves dies.

To prepare the finish of my cards, I embossed sentiments from the Cathy Zielske Spring in My Step stamp and die set. Once all the pieces were completed, I was able to assemble the card by adhering the foliage stems with liquid adhesive, then the sentiments and birds with foam adhesive for dimension.

I finished my cards today by embellishing them with sequins from the Seashore Sequin Mix. A card is rarely ever done without some bling! I hope you enjoyed these cards! Thanks so much for visiting today!~Caly

Not a Card with Nina-Marie: Stitched Bookmarks
Hey there, friends! It’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you and I am sharing a stitching project with you using a fun Spellbinders die. Not only is this a very therapeutic project, but it also makes for a great gift for friends and family!

I used the Spellbinders Circular Stitch Slimline die for these bookmarks. It stitches up fairly quickly and I used embroidery floss to stitch my designs. These can be stitched on white or colored cardstock; I especially loved the stitching on darker colors, such as soft navy!

These are easy project to create, perfect for an afternoon of crafting a simple but beautiful gift for someone! Be sure to watch the video to see how I made these!
