Studio Monday with Nina-Marie: Distress Ink Watercolor and Smooshing featuring Mama Elephant

Hey there friends, it’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you! Today I am showcasing the Mama Elephant Hot Air Balloons stamp and die set. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to watercolor the images and ink smooshed the background.

I finished off the card with sequins and a Scripty Hugs die from Simon Says Stamp. This card is super easy to create and absolutely adorable! Be sure to watch the video below to see how I made it.

Thank you FAIRY much!

Hi friends! Happy Sunday! Please join me in welcoming back special guest Kara Pogreba in this FAIRY cute thank you card idea!

These fairies are stirring up a little cup of appreciation with Lawn Fawn’s new Zesty Lemon, Stitched Tea Cup and Stitched Teapot dies!
The white Outside In Stitched Rectangle background was ink blended using Aged Mahogany, Picked Raspberry, and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink. It was then splattered with those ink colors and white acrylic paint with a small stiff paint brush.

Lawn Fawn’s Giant Thank You was cut out of the background and then replaced covered with Lawn Fawn’s Sparkle Glaze and sitting on top of craft foam. The sentiment fills the background without over shadowing the fairies and their tea.
The fairies from Lawn Fawn’s Fairy Friends stamp set were colored with Copic markers and cut out with the coordinating dies. Sparkle Glaze adorns their wings as well as many of the tea items. One of the fairy’s arms was freed up with an X-acto knife so she could hold a sugar cube.

The other fairy’s arm was freed up the same way to hold the spoon.
Thank you, Simon Says Stamp, for inviting us to share some of the latest Lawn Fawn products with you today!
