EZ with CZ: Ink Blending on Colored Cardstock

Hi friends! Happy Friday!! We’re excited to share this gorgeous CAS card with you by the one and only Cathy Zielske! She’s showcasing our new (and super popular) Little Evergreen Trees as well as a sentiment from the Clean Line Everyday stamp and die set, and a cool technique by blending our Surf ink over our Surf cardstock for a gorgeous effect! Be sure to watch the video for all the details and enjoy!

I love creating gorgeous blends with just a single color of ink by using them on a similar toned piece of cardstock! I have only recently started doing this and now I’m wondering why I didn’t start out ink blending this way, because the results are so good!

All you need to do is blend from one edge of your panel, using the same color family, to create a gorgeous snowy sky (or any other type of tone-on-tone effect you’re going for!)

Top your panel with a crisp white die cut such as this Little Evergreen Tree die and you have the makings for a clean and simple design. Oh, and don’t forget to spatter on some snow while you’re creating!
Here is the video showing you how I created this card:

Crafty with Caly: Rainbow Love Card

Hi friends! Happy Thursday! Please join me in welcoming back special guest Caly Person to our blog today! Read on to learn more about this fun and fabulously colorful project!

Hi friends! I have a colorful card to share today using the new Heart Panes Cover Plate die! Make it colorful with Simon Says Stamp cardstock in a variety of colors. The Assorted Card Fronts pack is perfect for projects like this and gives you a great sampling of the colors!
I choose 9 different colored cardstocks for my rainbow and die-cut the Heart Panes Cover Plate in each. The pieces stayed together, but I used some Easy See Tape to hold all the pieces together while I trimmed ¼” off all the sides of each panel. I also trimmed a white panel down to 3.75” x 5” to help me line up the pieces.
WATCH THE VIDEO:
I popped out one piece from each color and made a rainbow panel by adhering each piece to the white panel using 3D Foam Squares. If you prefer, you can die-cut more panels using white or colored cardstock to stack for dimension.

I saved the red for the heart at the center. I stamped and embossed the sentiment using the new Love You Greetings stamp set. There are coordinating dies so you can definitely use a larger sentiment!

I finished with some Hugs Sequins. With all the extra pieces from all the panels I die-cut, you could create 9 cards! How fun is that for mass-producing with ONE die? I hope you’ll try it! Thanks so much for hanging out with me today! Have a great day!~Caly
