Reading Rainbow LOVE card: Crafty with Caly

Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! Please join me in welcoming special guest Caly Person to showcase this darling love card in the latest edition of our bi-monthly Crafty with Caly blog series. Be sure to watch the video for all the details, and enjoy!

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a sweet card that reminds me of the show Reading Rainbow! It’s a show from my childhood and when I saw the Bookworm Bears set from My Favorite Things, I just knew I had to create with it!
I used the Happy Swish die for my rainbow to create a non-traditional rainbow for my card today. I colored the bands and my images with Copic markers.
Rainbow Bands:
- RV29, Y35, YG06, B04, V05
Bookworm Bears:
- Reds: R30, R32, R35
- Yellows: Y11, Y15, YR23
- Greens: G02, G04, G09
- Teals: BG10, BG11, BG13
- Blues: BG000, B21, B24
- Pinks: RV10, RV11, R20
- Browns: E51, E30, E31, E34, E37

Before adding the sweet Bookworm Bears images, I splattered the panel with some gold paint for some texture. I used the Cutest Clouds Ever dies and die-cut the cloud using some white glitter cardstock. It gives the rainbow some a softer end and provides texture and shimmer for the card.

I used some foam squares to attach the bears floating on the rainbow, then used liquid adhesive on the bears sitting on the clouds.

Last but not least, I used a crisp black ink to stamp the sentiment! I hope you enjoyed this card and video! Thanks so much for stopping by today! ~Caly

Art Journaling with Shari: Peace at Christmas

Welcome, everyone! It’s Shari here with an art journal feature for the holidays! There are many layers to this page, but they all are simple to do!

I started by stamping the Tim Holtz Festive Collage stamps onto some tissue paper so I could add them to a slightly gessoed Tim Holtz backdrop paper. A lot of the color comes from the Tim Holtz Christmas Layers Botanicals ephemra, they are so detailed!

I glued all my pieces to the panel, then added the panel to my Dina Wakley Journal. I’ve filmed a video for you to show how this all came together. Enjoy!
