Color Your Stamps in 4 Easy Steps! Studio Monday with Nina-Marie

Hey there, friends! It’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you today! Have you ever tried our Printmaking stamp series? These are such fun stamps to work with because they contain blocks of stamps that can be used to “color” in the main image simply by stamping with different colors of ink!

In today’s project I will be using the Printmaking Postage stamp and die set, but all of the Printmaking stamps work in the same manner so you can use this video as a general guide for the series.

Trying out a new surface; ending with a love card!

Hi friends! Happy Sunday! Please join me in welcoming back special guest Cheiron Brandon to our blog with this super fun and pretty love card design! Did you catch the NEW Clear Alcohol Ink Dura Lar surface released last month from Tim Holtz and Ranger? In this post Cheiron is sharing cool tips and tricks to use it! Read on and enjoy!

Hi there crafty friends, it’s Cheiron Brandon here and I am thrilled to be sharing a post with you today with a card combining Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks and the new Clear Alcohol Ink Dura Lar surface to create a fun and simple Valentine card. These would be super easy to recreate an entire set of to mail to all of your crafty friends.

To create this card, I cut my Dura Lar to 4 X 5 ¼ then applied Alcohol Inks in Fiesta, Gumball, Watermelon and Pink Sherbet and moved them around the panel with the Ink Air Blower. I made sure to leave some small areas of the Dura Lar clear so the clear surface would stand out on my finished card. Then I dried the panel with a heat tool.

Next, I stamped the hearts from the Watercolor stamp set along with a sentiment from the Noteworthy set using Distress Archival Ink in Black Soot on a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock measuring 4 X 5 1/4. Once both of the panels were dry, I stitched them together.

To complete the card, I adhered the inked panel to an A2 size card. I hope you enjoyed this fun idea for using Dura Lar with Alcohol Inks on your cards, I can’t wait to try it with other color combos!

A Unique Peek-a-boo! Interactive Card Design: Crafty with Caly

Hi friends! Happy Saturday! I’m excited to share this sweet and fun card design by Caly Person showcasing some newly released exclusive stamps and dies! Read on to learn more and enjoy!

Hi friends! It’s Caly and I’m sharing a double slider card today. The Slider Plate is a simple die that helps add a fun interactive element to your cards. Today’s card also features the Wild Love and Wild About You die from Cathy Zielske.

I used the Slider Plate twice on today’s card to create a double slider card. The Wild Love critters slide out from the center for a fun peek-a-boo treat!

To begin today’s card, I stamped and colored my images with Copic markers.
Copic colors used:
- Koala: R30, C1, C3, C5
- Bunny: E40, E41, E42, E43
- Bear: E30, E31, E34, E50, E53
- Fox: E21, E11, E13, E50, E53
- Blush: R30

The Wild About You die is die-cut from a panel I stripped with colorful cardstock using the Strip Die 1 set. Since the critters are light in color, I really wanted the sentiment to be colorful.

After putting my sliding tracks together, I adhered my critters onto the tracks and die-cut the pull indicator using Matte Champagne cardstock. That’s it! Such a fun and simple interactive card. I hope you like it! Thanks so much for stopping by today! ~Caly
