June 2023 Card Kit Inspiration with Kristina Werner

Hi all! Kristina Werner here. Today I have two cards made using the stamps and cardstock from the June 2023 Card Kit! I used the Etched Greetings stamp set to create both elegant cards.
I started out by creating an all-over pattern on the green cardstock included in the kit. I stamped in VersaMark Ink and then applied gold embossing powder. Then I used the same gold embossing powder for the greeting on Midnight Green cardstock.

To add a bit more gold to the card, I created a vertical band of narrow matte gold strips on vellum to go behind the greeting. I also added gold embossing powder to the edges of the stamped panel and ink blended a bit more green ink.

The second card is faster to make and more simple. I started with Fog cardstock and stamped the floral images and two greetings from the Etched Greetings stamp set in black ink. I then ink blended a bit of Slate and Intense Black ink from the bottom of the card design.

Hummingbird Shaped Card: Crafty with Caly

Hi friends! Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend and are rested and ready for another great week! If you’re anything like me, you’ll literally say “Ooooooh” when you look at this gorgeous shaped card by Caly Person! For more information, be sure to watch the video, and enjoy!

Hello! If you love shaped cards, you’ll love Bibi Cameron’s Hummingbird Creator dies. This large hummingbird fits on a 5” x 7” card panel, or can be standalone for a beautifully shaped card, which I am sharing today!
Hummingbirds are my favorite and today, I sought out inspiration for a colorful card using an image I found online.

Be sure to check out the video to see how I ink-blended mostly white cardstock to get a colorful hummingbird to imitate the inspiration photo.

There are beautiful floral dies that come with the Hummingbird Creator dies, but I only create the hummingbird. I felt the flowers would be better suited for a full card panel. I die-cut the hummingbird base twice and scored one of the bases at ½” to adhere the colorful piece to make it a shaped-card.

I also used some colored cardstock that I ink-blended as well to piece the hummingbird together. It helps create more depth and dimension to the hummingbird, not to mention sturdiness with the added cardstock layers.

To finish, I stamped the sentiment onto the hummingbird’s belly using the Hummingbird Sentiments set. I had to partially stamp the sentiment to get it to fit, but it works out great! I hope you like it! Thanks so much for stopping by today! ~Caly
