Pizzazz Up Your Die Cuts with Ink: EZ with CZ

Hi friends! Happy Thursday! We’re always excited to welcome back special guest Cathy Zielske to share the monthly installment of EZ with CZ! Read on and be sure to watch the video for all the details! Enjoy!

Hey everyone, it’s Cathy Zielske back with another installment of EZ with CZ! Today is all about adding a little bit of ink to your card stock to create the appearance, that you have more colors of card stock then you actually do. I wanted to make a floral bloom (using the new Layered Perky Flower set) all in purple, but I only had one purple, Simon Says Stamp Lavender card stock, on hand. I pulled out my Pawsitively Saturated inks in Lilac, Orchid and Amethyst to ink blend onto different pieces of the die cuts to create to look of more colors of card stock.

Not only is this a great way to stretch your supplies, but you can also add depth and dimension to any die cut by using a similarly colored ink on the paper.

I also created a monochromatic grounding blend for my card project. I used the Simon Says Stamp A2 Mask Stencils, a fantastic all purpose such that you can use time in again for so many different designs.

Here is my video showing you how I created this card project:
