Not a Card with Nina-Marie: Halloween Treat Bags Reprise

Hello there, friends! It’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you and I have some Halloween treat bags to share with you that feature DIY embellishments! (Editor’s Note: This fun project was originally posted a couple of years ago, but it’s so fun and seasonally appropriate, we wanted to re-share for anyone that has missed it! Please enjoy!)

These adorable characters are all made with our exclusive Nested Banners die set! If you look closely, you’ll notice that the pumpkin, cat, and ghost are shapes from the banner set–proof that even the simplest of dies can create the most-darling of designs!

To further add to the Halloween charm, I paired up items from Tim Holtz’s Spider Web die set, as well as Carta Bella’s Halloween patterned paper and ephemera packs. How cute is the extra detail of twine on each bag???

These cuties are very easy to make and would be PERFECT for upcoming trick-or-treating! Be sure to watch the video below to see all the details!

The Golden Fern embossing folder used Field, Aegean, Ocean, Surf, and Cadette.

For the Darcy Bouquet color combo, I use monochromatic colors in Galaxy, Twilight, and Morning.

The rainbow background on the Gradient Dot embossing folder features the colors Sherbet, Sunbeam, Sprout, Surf, Royal, and Twilight.
You’ll want to watch the video below to see how I created these super cool backgrounds! It’s a fun technique that really enhances your embossed designs!

Elegant Christmas Card Duo Featuring BirchPress Designs: Crafty with Caly

Hi friends! Happy Sunday! I’m delighted to welcome back special guest Caly Person with a gorgeous duo of Christmas holiday cards featuring brand new Birch Press Design die cuts! Please be sure to watch the video for all the details, and enjoy!

Hello there! I have two cards to share today using some products from Birch Press Design. I’m combining their detailed dies to create holiday cards. YES! The holidays are going to be here soon – hopefully, this inspires you to get started soon!
Birch Press Design is well known for their layering dies – it adds so much depth and texture to elements. Be sure to check out my video today to see the layers come together to make my cards.
WATCH THE VIDEO:
My first card is more involved and uses several die sets:
- BPD Splendid Poinsettia Contour Layers
- BPD Hillside Branch and Bramble Contour Layers
- BPD Budding Twigs Contour Layers
- BPD Oval Leaf Branches Contour Layers
- BPD Pinpoint Radial Plate
- MB Christmas Fairy Jewels

All of the branches come together to create a floral spray with the poinsettia being the main focus. I used some glitter cardstock and jewels to embellish the card.

To finish this card, I used a simple sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Reverse Christmas Wishes Sentiment Strip set.

My second sentiment is simple compared to the first. It uses the Revello Ornament dies and is decorated with some Jolly Holly Contour Layers.

Using a mixture of glitter and mirror cardstock really gives the die-cut elements more interest. This card is simple with the white tones and pops of color. Like with the first card, I finished with a simple sentiment strip.
I hope you enjoyed these cards! Thanks so much for visiting! ~Caly
