On Trend: Pink + Silver Holiday Color Combo

Hi friends! Happy Sunday! Please join me in welcoming back special guest Cheiron Brandon to our blog today! She’s made a GORGEOUS Christmas card to inspire during holiday card making season with such trendy colors and I LOVE it!! Read on and enjoy!!

Hi there crafty friends! It’s Cheiron Brandon and I am thrilled to be sharing a fun vintage style – PINK Christmas card with you today. I used the Tim Holtz Candleshop dies along with some glittery greenery to create a vintage candle arrangement. To begin, I cut all the candles out using the dies and lining up all the layering pieces for each of the three candles. To make it easier to ink, I adhered all of the pieces and hen I put them onto a sticky mat and ink blended them with Spun Sugar, then shaded with Kitsch Flamingo inks. I also added the flame pieces and inked them with Fossilized Amber and Crackling Campfire inks. The wicks were cut from black cardstock.

To create my background, I used Pumice Stone Distress Ink and Frozen Fog Distress Mica Stain on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Once the panel was dry, I stamped some images from the Ledger Script and Eccentric stamp sets using Hickory Smoke onto my background to add more interest. Then I cut greens from the Festive Gatherings dies out of Metallic Cardstock and Christmas Deco sheets and arranged all the pieces on my card. I added white and black splatter using a brush and Picket Fence and Black Soot Distress Inks. I dried the panel with and added metallic splatter to the card by spattering Unravelled Distress Mica Stain. To finish my panel, I inked the edges and then added a few stickers from the Christmas Sticker book.
I hope you enjoyed this card in a fun pink palette and got some ideas for easy inking of your Tim Holtz Colorize dies!

Quick & Easy Hot Foil Glimmer Holly Background Card Idea: Crafty with Caly

Hi friends! Happy Saturday! Please join me in welcoming back special guest Caly Person with this GORGEOUS hot foil holiday card design using some really cool Spellbinders products! Be sure to watch the video for all the details and enjoy!

Hi there! I have an easy holiday card to share today that’s easy to reproduce/mass produce, if you enjoy hot foiling! My card uses the Glimmer Holly Background set. Coordinating stencils always make coloring easy!
I used two Copic markers (G21 and G24) to color a few stems that the stencil set didn’t cover, but it’s quick and easy to do because the stencils don’t provide full coverage so the coloring does not need to be perfect.
WATCH THE VIDEO:
For my sentiment, I also hot foiled the Joyful Glimmer sentiment over red cardstock. I fussy-cut the sentiment and adhered it over the ink-blended background using foam squares.

I finished it off with a sub-sentiment from the CZ Reverse Typed Christmas set.

To finish my card, I added a few sparkling clear sequins. I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy card! Thanks so much for stopping by! ~Caly
