Did You Know? January 2024 edition!

Hello crafters, it’s Shari Carroll here with you! Today I have a new edition of our popular Did You Know series!
If it’s your first time seeing this feature, each month we bring you fun facts, creative tips, and even crafty hacks about your favorite supplies and brands; you can then use these awesome tips that you learn in your next crafting projects! Are you ready to learn some fun tricks? Keep on reading!
ACETATE FOIL TRANSFER SHEETS AND DECO FOIL
We have come out with some amazing new Acetate Foil Transfer sheets. These toner-printed sheets are simple to use with your favorite color and patterns of DECO Transfer foils and a laminating machine. The foil is placed on top of the “dull” printed side of the sheet with the foil sitting shiny side up, placed in a carrier sheet, and inserted into the laminator.
Once foiled, the crystal clear sheets can be layered onto printed or colored cardstock to enhance your backgrounds. They are also perfect for making beautiful shaker cards.
Tip: These are to be used with Transfer foil and a laminator. And don’t forget to foil your sentiment strips while you’re at it.

NEW PAWSITIVELY SATURATED INKS
Oh boy… another beautiful set of Pawsitively Saturated inks has been released. They are Mist, Dew, and Raindrop. They are rich and luscious green/blue tones in gradients of intensity. Use them to stamp your favorite bold images or blend through stencils for stunning backgrounds.
You can purchase our inks in several ways, such as individually, with and without re-inkers, and in sets of three.
Tip: Our Mist Sequins Mix coordinates PERFECTLY with all the inks.

With the introduction of our new inks for 2023 and 2024, I needed a way to store them. I found the Spectrum Noir Ink Pad Storage Trays in our store to be a great solution! These trays stack easily and come with 6 layers, which hold 3 pads each. They can also connect side by side with sliding slots so you can build your own custom towers.
I also found them super helpful to use for Tim Holtz Distress inks. A raised bump keeps the square pads from sliding to the back of each slot.

BETTER WAYS TO SHOP
We are always looking at ways to do things better. In years past, when you purchased a Simon Says Stamp card kit, you could only buy a kit separately with no other purchases. We have improved your shopping experience, so you can add items to your shopping cart and pay for everything altogether!!

I hope these tips have helped you learn about some special items for your crafting needs. Thanks for tuning in today and spending some time with me!

Distress Ink Watercoloring: Funny Friday with Art Impressions!

Hey everyone, it’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you and today I am showcasing Art Impressions’ adorable Snowman Puppet stamp and die set to make this snowy scene! I am also using Distress Inks—including the new Scorched Timber Distress Color!

I also used our Simon Says Stamp Arched Forest embossing folder and die set to make the background of my edge to edge shaker. The greeting I used was from our Jubilee Sentiments stamp set and it worked perfectly above the snow people!

More February 2024 Card Kit Inspiration by Kristina Werner!

Hello, all! Kristina here! Today I have a fun card for you made using elements in the February 2024 card kit! I used the Slider Typewriter and Camera stamp set to create a grouping of photos and a camera. I started by stamping the camera in Charcoal ink and cutting it out.

For the photos, I stamped the photo image on two sheets of patterned paper from the kit, and cut out the center photo area. Then I adhered them to a white stamped photo frame.

For the greeting, I stamped the photo image on the Cotton Candy cardstock from the kit, and then added a greeting. To darken up the pale pink cardstock, I blended on some Blush, Watermelon and Charcoal inks.

To finish off the card, I created a DIY dark gray band by pressing the Charcoal ink onto Fog cardstock, and then assembled the camera and photos on top.
You can pick up the February 2024 Card Kit HERE, or subscribe to receive this kit and future kits HERE.
