More March 2024 Card Kit Inspiration by Kristina Werner!

Hello, all! Kristina here! Today I have for you three cards made with the stamp set included in the March 2024 Card Kit. The Mix & Match Butterflies stamp set has three sets of top wings and bottom wings that you can mix together to create unique butterfly designs.

For the color palette, I used two inks (Pawsitively Saturated ink in Cabbage, and Rainbow Splash ink in Ballet), and four colors of Copic markers…

For the circle image, I used masking paper and the Nested Circles dies to mask and ink blend with Cabbage ink. And for the bottom half of the pink card, I stamped the butterfly on masking paper, cut out the image, and then masked off the butterfly (as well as the top half of the card) to protect the butterfly and top half of the card.

2 for 1 Card Idea That Will Save You Time! Studio Monday with Nina-Marie

Hello friends, it’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you! I’m going to share a fun idea for getting 2 cards out of 1 background. This technique not only saves you time, but also creates less waste because we’re utilizing some of the negative pieces from die cutting—and when you have a gorgeous background, why not get the most out of it?

In today’s video I am using brand new products from Hero Arts, including the Flower and Hearts cover plate die, and the Message Basics stamp set. To make my background, I used Distress Inks from Tim Holtz and did a bit of ink smooshing for a really fun color array!

Pair Acetate Botanicals + Colorful Butterflies for a Gorgeous Result: Crafty with Caly

Hi friends! Happy Sunday! We’re delighted to welcome back special guest Caly Person to our blog today with a gorgeous card using tons of components from our brand new March 2024 card kit! Read on and be sure to watch the video to learn more– enjoy!

Hello there! I have a card today using the Simon Says Stamp March 2024 Card Kit! There are so many goodies in this card kit and I use a little bit of almost everything to create a card with lots of texture and dimension.
To start, the butterfly has acetate wings that “flutter” or “float” because they stick up and are separate from the colored base. I did this by embossing the Mix and Match Butterflies image over heat-resistant acetate. I die-cut the butterfly wings again with white cardstock and ink-blended it with Amethyst and Iris ink.

On a white panel, I added a soft layer of Amethyst ink using a Background Blending Brush and then embossed the panel with the Dibble Tile Embossing Folder. I distressed the panel using the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser tool and added Pansy ink to further distress and add color to the edges.

I used my sewing machine to adhere the Tim Holtz Transparent Things 2 sheet to the embossed background. I just added a few zig-zags to the upper right and bottom left hand corners. I also used the sewing machine to sew the butterfly together down its body.

I attached the butterfly to the card panel and finished with an embossed sentiment and embellished the card with the new Pawsitively Dazzling Gems from Simon Says Stamp in Cool Tones (also a part of the kit).

Here’s a look at a similar card I made for this kit’s release. I used a pink color scheme and instead of using a large butterfly, I added more Transparent Things 2 elements and hearts from the Mix and Match Butterflies set.
I hope you enjoyed these projects using the Simon Says Stamp March 2024 Card Kit! Thanks so much for stopping by! ~Caly
