Use Grounding to Unify A Beautiful Design: EZ with CZ

Hi friends! Happy Wedesday! Please join me in welcoming special monthly Guest *CZ herself*, Cathy Zielske in the latest of our EZ with CZ blog series! Be sure to watch the video to learn all the details on this pretty card and enjoy!!

Today’s card is all about creating a grounding element to hold all of the design together! This is one of my favorite design conventions and it’s so easy to do. You can stencil a shape like I did, stamp a shape, or even just cut a piece of cardstock or patterned paper. The idea is to create a unified gathering of the greeting and any other elements that connect on top of the shape.

The cool thing is, you can use any shape you like! I used a narrow rectangle, but squares and circles would be perfect, too! I’ll explain more and show you how this card came together in my video.

Whether you create a simple blend or just use a solid shape, I hope you give this grounding technique a try, to create beautiful, unified card designs!
