More Than Just Shaker Cards: An Easel and Gift Idea!

Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! I’m totally delighted to welcome back special guest Tina Smith to share two DARLING card ideas showcasing tons of components of our November 2024 card kit of two types of cards that would also be great gifts! (Easel for display and magnet that can go on your fridge!) Be sure to watch the video for all the details, and enjoy!

Hi friends! Today I am sharing two shaker cards but these are not ordinary shakers, they both have an extra special feature to them. One is an easel card that showcases all the fun layers that decoupage is known for and the other is a removable magnet gift so the recipient can add it to their fridge for the Holiday Season and many years to come. I hope this gives you some inspiration with the fabulous Christmas Cheer Card Kit! Crafty Hugs, Tina

Brew-tiful Lawn Fawn Card by Elise!
Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! Please join me in welcoming back special guest Elise Constable on our blog to showcase some fabulous NEW inspiration featuring some cutie Lawn Fawn products! Be sure to read on and enjoy!

Hi friends! It’s Elise from the Lawn Fawn design team and I’m excited to share a card with you all today!
It finally feels like fall in my area, so I created a cute fall card to celebrate. I started by stamping all of the images for my card with Jet Black ink onto white cardstock and colored the images with Copic markers. I tried to stick with fall colors of reds, oranges, yellows, and browns, and I added a pop of teal as well.
Most of the images are from the Treat Cart and Treat Card Add-on: Coffee stamp sets, but I added some extra images to help create the fall scene. The pumpkins are from the Happy Harvest set and the hay bales are from the Hay There, Hayrides! stamp set.

After stamping, coloring, and die cutting all of the images, I started to create the background. The background panel was die cut with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die, ink blended with blue distress oxide inks, and then attached to the card base. I added a few birch trees to the background and trimmed off the edges. The tree tops were created with the Puffy Cloud Borders and the ground was die cut with the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders, and they were both ink blended with distress oxide inks. The ground was attached with double sided tape and the tree tops were attached with foam tape to add some dimension to the background.
Then, it was time for the fun part – arranging (and rearranging!) the images in the scene! Once I was happy with the layout for the scene, I attached the images with foam tape and liquid glue. To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment and tied an orange twine bow along the top.
I hope this card has inspired you to create a fall scene as well! Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting! –Elise
