Show Love to Teachers: Easy Gift Card Holders! Not a Card with Nina-Marie Reprise
Hey there friends, it’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you! We’re resharing this ‘oldie but goodie’ originally shared a couple of years ago but totally timely right now! With school season coming to a close in the next couple of months, I thought this would be a perfect time to start thinking about teacher appreciation gifts—particularly gift cards. They are an easy way to give someone something special and to include it in a snazzy handmade holder… well that is just the cherry on top!

I’m using many of our Simon Says Stamp exclusive stamp and die sets to make each of the gift card holders. Stamps such as Appreciate You and the Rainbow Splash Schoolhouse Messages, as well as dies like Fancy Teacher, the Gift Card Pocket Envelope, Gift Card Envelope, and Gift Card Pocket.

In the video, I will walk you through the assembly of each, as well as the tips and tricks I used to make these extra-special! Don’t miss the video below for all the details!

A Pop of Sunshine: “Just Because” Card with Tim Holtz Yellow Palette
Hi friend! Happy Saturday! I’m delighted to welcome special guest Cheiron Brandon as our guest today showcasing the gorgeous Yellow Palette paper with this pretty encouragement card! Read on and enjoy!

Hello there, crafty friends. It’s Cheiron and I am excited to share a fun card with you today using the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Yellow Paper Palette to make a card that is super fun for spring. To begin, I cut a 3 1/2 x 5 inch notecard from Neenah cardstock. I wanted to use 3 different papers from this pack of yellow papers to create a cheerful card. I selected 3 papers from the pack: one that reads as a solid and is pretty much all yellow, a floral pattern, and one piece that had something I could cut a strip from, which for this card is the ticket piece.

I cut each piece to fit on my card and arranged the more solid piece onto the card with the floral piece. I also cut the strip from the ticket paper. Before I adhered the ticket paper strip to the card, I decided on a place to add a sentiment. I used the stamps from the Stampers Anonymous noteworthy set to stamp my sentiment using Black Soot Distress Ink. Then I added the ticket strip using foam tape.

To add some more interest to the card, I used a corner chomper to round the edges at the top. To add a pop of color, I used the Tim Holtz Brushstroke Mini Flowers Dies to cut some flowers from Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I adhered all the pieces together with Distress Collage Medium and then painted over them with Distress Watercolor Pencils in shades of pinks and reds. To finish the card, I added my painted flowers on with foam tape. I hope you enjoyed this card, I think it would be super fun to make a set of these using all the different color Paper Palette packs!
