On The Monday Challenge We’re Thankful For…

We have an extended deadline on the  Monday Challenge , so you still have another week to join in with the Thanks/Thankful theme.

With Thanksgiving a few days away we are already making the final preparations for the celebration. How do you celebrate Thanksgiving? What are you thankful for? Perhaps I should say that I am Thankful for family, furbabies and friends, and I am, but really I am thankful for  pumpkin pie, turkey and that lovely cranberry sauce that brings out the flavour of the turkey so nicely, oh, and lets not forget chocolate  *wink*

Once you have made your creation just go ahead and upload it into the linky on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog!  We can’t wait to see what you make!

As always, we’re offering a chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to Simon Says Stamp50dollar_voucher_600px

Below are three projects created by the design team, that showcase this weeks theme! You can visit the challenge blog  to get all the details and see the amazing cards and projects that the design team has created this week. If you click on each designers name, you’ll be taken directly to their blog where you’ll get more details about their project! Be sure to give these talented ladies some comments!

Give THANKS!

Hi readers! Happy Sunday! Can you believe it’s the week of Thanksgiving?! (Directed to readers in the ‘States like me ;)) My goodness, time just keeps on ticking!! Maybe our blog can help give you a bit of a slow down to enjoy and be inspired! This month Lawn Fawn’s own Chari Moss has made a very season appropriate card that I think you’ll love!

Enjoy!

Is anyone else totally in Thanksgiving mode? I am, we are having our family over to our new house for Thanksgiving so I’m getting things ready to have our first gathering! So I was inspired to create a thanksgiving card for you today.  I wanted to create a big bold sentiment with the critters as supporting elements so I thought die cuts would be the perfect way to do that.

I stamped gingham backdrops in red Lobster ink on red cardstock for a tone on tone pattern and I chose cork for the scripty thanks for some extra texture.  I had originally planned on using the die cut letters for both words but since I had laid out my dies perfectly on the red I ended up with a perfect negative die cut that I liked even better!

The leaves and corn are from the happy harvest set and I just stamped them around in various inks to act like simple embellishment rather than sequins and then I finished it off with a little rustic twine along the top.
