reasontosmile2

Hi crafty friends! Welcome to the reveal of our New Simon Says Stamp exclusive collection, Reason to Smile!

With Easter and Spring just around the corner, these new designs will help us all to create fresh and fun art.  You loved Suzy’s watercolor doodle cards so much, that you inspired her to design a new series especially for Spring  (thank you, because I love ’em too!).  Looking for a new embossing powder?  Our new antique gold and rose gold are the perfect ultrafine embossing powders to add a touch of elegant detail to your projects.

Memory Box helped us bring a new series of exclusive Plush dies to life.  Plush dies are perfect for felting and creating your own Easter and Springtime gifts.  We are pleased to introduce our new line of super high quality Simon Says Stamp felt today.  Look for more gorgeous colors to be available in early March. This felt is perfect for die cutting!  If you are looking for supplies to help you with your felting, there’s a whole new category of products with more dies, felt, thread, needles, and glue right here.

Stamps and dies continue to be a favorite!  If you are following #SSSReasontoSmile on Instagram, you’ll see some sneak peeks of these new products that people are posting. We hope you’ll share your projects using the hashtag too!

Stay tuned on Friday, February 19 for a mega blog hop filled with inspiration using these hot new products!  If you’re anything like me, you’re looking for any excuse to turn a blind eye to the winter blues and focus on the fresh life ahead in Spring!

Thank you for joining us today as we celebrate the release of our “REASON TO SMILE” products!  We hope they really do give YOU a reason to smile ;)  Leave a comment below about what is most appealing in this release to you!  We will be selecting a handful off commenters to mail surprise goody bags of products from our upcoming March Release!

My Favorite Things – You Spice Up My Life!

Hi crafty friends! Today we thought it would be fun to highlight some of the newest stamps and dies from one of the great companies we carry in the Simon Says Store! My Favorite Things Stamps  just released the adorable “Recipe for Happiness” set that has the cutest chef! There are four versions of the chef, along with cooking accessories and really fun sentiments. Besides cards, you could use this set to make food gift tags, recipe cards, scrapbook pages and loads of other projects. He’s fun to color with your Copic markers too!

I used the My Favorite Things Blueprints 15 dies for my card layout, and a color scheme of red, white and kraft. The Recipe for Happiness stamps have matching dies that make it really easy to get pretty results.

1

I started my card by stamping all the images in Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink (perfect for Copics) and then die cut them out. I colored them and set them aside while I build my card. For the top white layer, I used Khaki ink, with the cooking utensils images to make a soft background paper. The Khaki ink matches my Khaki card base.

2

My background paper is from the Fresh Squeezed Chevron 6×6 collection pack from MFT!

3

The heart die cut and the little flag die cut come as part of the Blueprints 15 set. I cut the heart out of Simon Says Stamp Lipstick Cardstock and then added an accent with a white gel pen.

I finished off with a few dark grey enamel dots!

My chef and the cooking images were popped off the page with foam squares for some dimension.
