Weekender with Wanda – Reverse Confetti Spotlight!
Happy Saturday! It’s time for the latest edition of “Weekender with Wanda” here on the Simon Says Stamp blog! I’m happy to see you today! What did you think of the amazing blog hop posted yesterday? The new Spring Plush Release is totally fun and adorable. I must say that now I am addicted to felt!! Making those little felties is a fun way to try a new craft. If you haven’t done the hop, there’s still time, and there are prizes at every stop.
Remember two weeks ago when I shared all of my favorite crafty picks for Spring? Well, today I’m showcasing some of those products and featuring lovely stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti. I used the beautiful Floral Wrap Die with the Garden Bunch stamps to make a friendship card. I also used one of my favorite new 6×6 paper pads as my color inspiration. The stamps all have matching dies, which makes this project so nice and crisp. The flower stamps can either be three step or two step, depending on the look you want. I chose to use two colors of ink (on the pink ones) and then accented with black in the centers.
This Floral Wrap Die cuts like a dream, and is scored for easy folding. The top edge is a tiny scallop and that is really the sweetest touch. I wrapped my flower bouquet with twine and attached the little heart tag that comes with the die.
I used the Edgers Die set to make a soft rounded border on the top layer. I mounted patterned paper underneath it. Both of the papers are from the same pack so it just looks good together. I stamped my sentiment in Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink.
I crammed as many flowers in there as I could! In this photo you can see the scalloped edge and the little tag. I colored the heart portion of the tag with a Copic Marker and then used a little Wink of Stella shimmer on top.
Thanks so very much for spending part of your weekend here with me! I hope this Spring floral card has inspired you to make something fun and cheery today! Have a great day and I’ll see you next weekend!

New Release: Spring Plush BLOG HOP!
Hi friends! Happy Friday, and welcome to our highly anticipated and super exciting Spring Plush BLOG HOP! We sent these new products to a versatile group of talented designers and asked them to bring them to life and share with all of us. KUDOS to the designers for their creative inspiration. If you take time to leave a comment at the stops along the way, you could win a fantastic goody bag from Simon Says Stamp! Winners will be announced Monday. These artists LOVE hearing from you!
We have been developing a new line of products that work beautifully in our new Felt and Felting category. However, these plush dies aren’t only for use just with felt! You will see all along the hop some very clever uses for the dies. Our Simon Says Stamp branded felt is special because it is one of the few felts that die cuts cleanly with wafer thin dies. Also, our sheets are considerably larger than average. Simon Says Stamp felt comes in 9 x 12 sheets. This adorable stamp set “Cute Chicks” is an exclusive with Neat and Tangled and is perfect for the season!
If you tuned into our Periscope yesterday (the broadcast is still viewable on Periscope until noon today) you can see close ups of each of the new products and some fun samples I made with my kids. Our family (and office…shhhh…. ;) Easter this year will be filled with not just candy, but also delightfully fun plush cuties. I still have some of the treasured handmade crafts my mom made for me as a kid and I hold them dear to my heart. Sharing handmade creations with my own kids is especially meaningful.
We hope you will join us to see these incredible designers on our blog hop today:
Thank you so much for joining us today! Have an awesome Friday!!
Call for Cards
We believe that cards have power. Sending an old friend a handmade happy birthday card, reminding someone that you are always there for them, thanking mom for the hard work and love she put into making you who you are today, and telling a friend that when they cry, you cry too. Isn’t that why we make cards? We are enthusiastic about sharing our craft with the people who touch our lives. Cards are the heart of our community!
Simon loves to mail cards to our community of friends. We mail cards every single day! Friends and family all around the world celebrate birthdays, need thanked, congratulated, and need to know someone is thinking of them! As we gain new friends through our business it becomes harder to keep up with all the special events, so we need your help. :) For many years we have worked to hand make cards in our office but the time has finally come where we simply cannot keep up. The idea sparked to ask if any of you had extra cards you’d like us to help share with others.
Every day we are inspired by the cards you have created and we would like if you joined in our call for cards. We are hosting a mail call for your handmade greeting cards! If you are interested, please send us your latest works making sure to include your name and address with your card. It would be lovely if you could add your email address onto a slip of paper in your parcel.
Since we will be mailing your cards to fellow crafters often, we encourage you to stamp your name and blog info on the back of your cards. We will showcase and share some of your gifted cards on our blog!
If you have handmade cards you’d like us to help share, please mail to:
