Tim Holtz Multi Medium Clipboard: Shari Carroll
Oh how I love projects like this; it’s a little mix of everything which comes all together to form something I could display in my home or give away as a gift. There are a lot of little details that might be missed at first glance like the Crazing Medium on the photo or the hint of foil in the background or even just setting a metal frame on top of a photo. All these tiny things make a difference to me and complete the look I was going for. Using the clipboard as the base was just icing on the cake!
Adding touches like Picket Fence Crayon to the Quote Band makes the words stand out and gives the look of enamel. A slight touch of Brushed Pewter Distress paint on a paper frame finishes the edges of a Ornate die cut frame.
And lastly, customizing the colors of flowers to suit the style of your project are key to finalizing the look!
I have shot a full process video where I go into detail on some of the techniques used for this project. You can view it below or on our YouTube Channel HERE.

I Need Vitamin SEA Distress Ink Watercoloring
Hi readers! Happy Wednesday! I “eeked” with delight, when Yana Smakula showed me her design for her second monthly feature of April. Between the sweet Happy Swimmers stamped image, gold embossed Vitamin Sea sentiment, Pretty pink posh “bubbles”, “smooshed” distress ink background, and glossy accented swim mask, this card is a slice of summer themed perfection, and I can’t wait to start the season!
Be sure to watch the video, and enjoy!

Work it Wednesday April 2016
Hi readers! Happy Wednesday! Welcome to Work It Wednesday for April 2016!
In case you’re wondering what ‘Work It Wednesday’ is, let me explain:
On the last Wednesday of every month (or towards the end of the month ;)), we want to see what you’re creating! The Simon Says Stamp community is so very talented, and we want to see more of your cards and projects every month.
We thought this would be a great way for all of you to ‘stretch your creative muscles’ and share what you’ve been working on. So we’ll give you a little challenge each month, and you’ll have until the following month to share what you’ve made. Please limit entries to 3 per month.
Each month we’ll pick a few random participants to win a Simon Says Stamp grab bag!
The projects and cards that were shared for March were so great! We loved seeing all the pretty pastels in March’s challenge, and we look forward to seeing what you make for this challenge.
Do you want to see all of the cards and projects that were shared for March 2016 Work it Wednesday? Check them out!
The following three participants were randomly chosen to win a goody bag from Simon Says Stamp:
Andreea Raghina!
Marie Nicole!
Rose J!
Please email [email protected] with your mailing address and she’ll get your prize sent out to you.
Now on to this month’s challenge! Our challenge will be to use some FLOWERS in your project! Stamps, dies, ephemera, there are so many options!
Once you’re done creating, share your project below!
What are you waiting for? WORK IT! ;)
