“Seeing Stars” Simon Says Stamp Card Kit Reveal and Inspiration
Are you seeing stars?? We sure are!! This months kit is just that, “Seeing Stars”. The August 2016 card kit has an amazing stamp set Seeing Stars designed by Kristina Werner that can be used in a variety of ways. We’ve included 6×6″ sheets of the Tim Holtz Motif resists papers in white and Kraft along with two mini ink pads Chipped Sapphire and Festive Berries. We created a couple exclusive items for this kit, the Vented Star and Fireworks stencil. The printed papers this month come from Pebbles; America the Beautiful. Also included in this kit are Simon Says Stamp cardstocks Lipstick Red, Soft Navy and two sheets of 120 lb white.
I’ve created a card using the printed papers from the kit along with the Vented Star and a message strip. These colors are great for masculine cards with inspirational messages.
Wanda Guess created a masterpiece with a colorful watercolor background for a celestial look. She white embossed her images first and allowed the paint to resist around the watercolor paints.
Debby Hughes also created a watercolor resist by using the Chipped Sapphire ink in a circular shape over her stamped images.
Laura used the white Tim Holtz Motif resist papers as her base and did a bit of color blending, the used the Vented Star die on ink blended cardstock.
Lana also created a celestial background by blending various colors of Distress ink. She dripped water onto her panel and blotted up the ink to create additional spots.
I’ve created a walkthrough video for you that you can view below or on our YouTube channel.
The Seeing Stars stamp set and Vented Star are also available for individual purchase in our store.
