Holiday Photo Card Blog Hop with Shari Carroll

blop-hop-header

Welcome to the Holiday Photo Card Blog Hop! Today we’re hopping and showing you loads of ways to incorporate your cherished photos with your holiday cards.

I’ve created a card using a wallet size photo of my favorite girl…Melody. The photo slides out of the frame and so the recipient can place it in a frame, brag book or wallet.

The Simon Says Stamp Stitched Oval and Stitched Rectangle dies worked perfect for this size photo. I was able to tape them together and die cut in one shot. This idea would also work for a gift card holder.

I’ve created a video of how this card comes together. You can watch it below or on our YouTube channel.

“Merry and Bright” Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit Reveal and Inspiration

dec-card-kit-600-high-res1

Nothing says Christmas more than the Merry and Bright Kit card kit. We’ve included the Simon Says Stamp clear stamp set “Merry and Bright”, 12 double sided 6×6 papers from Doodlebug “Here Comes Santa”, 1 pack of Candy Cane stickers from Doodlebug, 1 pack of pop out stickers from Doodlebug “Dear Santa”, Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse V Flap envelope and 1 Simon Says Stamp Mini Gift card envelope in white, Simon Says Stamp cardstock in Surf Blue, Schoolhouse Red, Green Apple, 120# White, and Vellum.

And, if that’s not enough, we’re also including something really special…a Chibitronics beginner light kit!! Have you tried them yet?

I used the tree from the stamp set as my main focal point, colored it with topics and created a mask so I could ink a shadow around it.

I used the Chibitronics beginner kit to add a light behind the star. I followed the directions and found it really easy to do!

Wanda created a delightful card using the Doodlebug stickers, pattern paper and the curved banner from the stamp set.

Yana utilized the pattern papers by cutting out portions and adding them together with the Mini Gift card envelope.
