Brushstroke Messages: Simon Says Stamp Card Kit Reveal
Introducing our super-chic and utterly sophisticated card kit for October 2017, Brushstroke Messages! This classy kit features navy, cream, blush, and trendy rose gold in all their splendor, anchored by modern 6×6 patterned papers (double-sided!) from the My Mind’s Eye Blush collection. All of this is complemented with hand-picked, coordinating cardstock from Simon. You’ll love creating elegant and stylish cards for multiple occasions.
The Simon exclusive Brush Stroke Messages stamp set includes several different sizes of stamps to create a watercolor look, without using watercolors (think of how clever you’ll look!). You’ll also find lots of great sentiments for the occasions you need most.
The Spiral Flower Die from Simon (created to complement the patterned paper) will add dimension to your designs. This kit also includes new Simon brand Steel Navy Embossing Powder, an embossing pen from Ranger, a bottle of Ranger Multi Matte Medium, and a super handy detail glue brush. I created a card using the 6×6 Blush papers, the Spiral Flower Die and a Birthday message embossed with the Steel Blue embossing powder.
Next up is a card from Yana where she cut out flowers from one of the papers and placed them on an angled cut paper. Truly elegant!
And finally, Laura created her card using a sheet of paper angled onto a Navy card with a gold embossed Thanks You message.

Who are we?
Newton’s Nook Designs is made up of a husband and wife team located in Southern Wisconsin (Go Packers!) Our goal is to provide you with unique and whimsical stamp designs that are fun to use and make you smile!
Jen has always loved to draw and create! About 15 years ago she discovered stamping and card-making and fell in love! Since she first started stamping she has always wanted to create her own stamp designs and is excited to see her visions come to life! All of our stamps are illustrated by Jen. They begin as hand-drawn pencil sketches which she then creates into the digital files that eventually become those cute stamps you love!
Jeff does all the behind the scenes essentials! He answers your questions, ships your orders and keeps everything running smoothly! He has even become a bit of a creative director, giving advice on stamp designs and helping to let Jen know when something doesn’t look right!
Where did our name come from?
Newton is our adorable sweet orange tabby cat and the inspiration for our name and logo. One of the first stamp designs that Jen sketched was a kitty – just like Newton – so we thought it was fitting that he be the namesake of the company. You can find out more about Newton on his page here.
