Monthly Mail Art with Kristina Werner – December 2017

Hello, all! Kristina Werner here with another Monthly Mail Art! Today I created two envelopes with similar designs, an ivory metallic envelope and a black envelope.
For both envelopes, I cut a circle out of masking paper using one of the dies in the Nested Circles die set. I placed the circle masks on the center of each envelope. I also cut some snowflakes out of masking paper using the Felicity Snowflake, Joy Snowflake, and Bliss Snowflakes dies.
I applied the snowflake masks to the black envelope, and then ink blended some Golden Glitz Delicata ink over the top. Once the masking was removed, the pattern of the snowflakes was left behind.

For the ivory envelope, I ink blended three Distress Oxide ink colors from the edge of the circle mask: Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans, and Black Soot. Before removing the circle mask, I stamped snowflakes from Tim Holtz’s Mini Swirly Snowflakes stamp set in the same Golden Glitz Delicata ink.
The name of the recipient on each envelope was addressed using a gold paint pen. As for mailing addresses, I used a white Gelly Roll pen on the black envelope, and a black Pilot Envelope Addressing pen on the ivory envelope.
NOTE: Mailing addresses used with permission. Thank you, Kristine and Kathy!
I hope you enjoy today’s envelopes! :)
